A quick summary

Bon Voyage is an app that provides information and recommendations about where people can go and what they can see in different cities around the world.

In today's world, a millennial traveller needs a comprehensive, reliable and cost-effective way of discovering places and cultures because their lives are jam-packed with routing and their budgets are lean.

Methodology & Tools

I approached this project in 5 steps

Empathize - Define - Ideate - prototype - test

Starting with user research, I interviewed travel enthusiasts aged between 22 to 35

to find out their concerns and pain points.

I synthesized all the insights to define the User and problem.

I did some brainstorming and came up with some unique concepts based on the problem statement.

I built wireframes I worked on mood boards, branding and UI.

I created a clickable prototype to test with the users again.

Finally iterated the prototype again upon the feedback I got from users.

“Life is short and I want to go everywhere and see everything”

As a traveler and a new homeowner, I want the most reasonable price when I am traveling so that I can pay my house mortgage and still can pursue my passion for traveling.
As an ardent social network user, I want monitored and expert reviews on places, hotels, restaurants and transport while traveling so that I can save time and money jeopardized by fake and wrong reviews.
As an avid globetrotter, I would like the detailed information of the area with maps handy so that I can carry on my trip hassle-free in an unfamiliar territory even if I lose my network coverage.
As I hate long waits while traveling, I want the real-time status of tourist places in peak hours or if it is closed for any renovation so that I can manage my schedule and avoid the

Finding Solution

When trying to find the solution for users to stay in a budget,

I wanted a user to mention their areas of interests and budget before searching for the trip and then the app can show them the options for flights, Hotels and restaurants.
Users will get to decide how much they want to spend on flights or hotels or other things from their budget.
And the app will send notifications if users choose the option which is over their budget and if they succeed to save money, app will show some options to spend that money within their interests.
